Our Story
We are REET by Bunaiganj — a label born from the heart of Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, and rooted in a deep love for India's living textile traditions.
The word Reet means tradition in Hindi — a way of doing things passed down through generations, quietly, carefully, with pride. That is exactly what we stand for. Every shawl, stole, and kurti we bring to you carries the fingerprints of skilled artisans who have spent lifetimes perfecting their craft.
Bareilly has long been a crossroads of culture, trade, and craftsmanship in northern India. From here, we reach out to the weavers of the Himalayas, the Kalamkari painters of Andhra Pradesh, the Kani weavers of Kashmir, and the artisan clusters of Kullu — curating pieces that deserve to be seen, worn, and cherished.
Our Craft
We work closely with artisan communities across India. Our collection spans some of India's most celebrated textile traditions:
- Kashmiri Kani Weaves — intricate tapestry-woven shawls made on traditional kani looms, each one a labour of weeks or months.
- Kalamkari Artistry — hand-painted and block-printed fabrics from Andhra Pradesh, where natural dyes meet centuries-old storytelling.
- Kullu Border Weaves — vibrant, geometric-patterned shawls from the Kullu Valley of Himachal Pradesh, woven on pit looms by mountain artisans.
- Himalayan Textiles — warm, heritage-rich fabrics from the foothills, crafted for both beauty and function.
We do not mass-produce. We curate. Every piece is selected for its authenticity, quality of weave, and the story it carries.
Our Promise
When you shop with REET by Bunaiganj, you are not just buying a piece of fabric — you are choosing to keep a tradition alive. You are supporting the hands behind the loom, the artist behind the brush, and the community behind the craft.
We are committed to transparency in sourcing, honesty in quality, and warmth in every interaction. If you ever have a question about a product — its origin, its fabric, its care — please reach out. We love talking about what we do.
